Hi, I'm Jessica Griffioen Founder of Thriving Households

This is my Story

I’m Jessica—a therapist, family coach, author, wife, and mom of six (foster, step, adopted, bio, and kinship). And Thriving Households started with my own family.

Like most families, ours has never looked perfectly put together. We’ve had busy seasons, hard seasons, different personalities and needs under one roof, and plenty of moments when simply getting everyone through the day felt like enough.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t want our family life to be something we were just managing. I wanted us to actually enjoy each other. I wanted our kids to know they mattered, to feel connected to one another, and to know that they were an important part of our family team.

That desire became the foundation for Thriving Households.

Through both my professional work with children and families and my own experience at home, I’ve learned that strong families aren't created through perfect parenting or elaborate routines. They're built in the small, intentional things we do again and again—talking, listening, celebrating each other, creating shared experiences, setting goals, and making room for connection.

Thriving Households brings those ideas together in a practical way for real families with real lives.

Because I don't want families to simply make it through these years together. I want them to look back and realize they truly lived them together.
